For the past five years, my team and I have brought custom pillows into the homes of hundreds of clients. We’ve grown quite a bit in the last five years. Today, I am excited to announce some major changes that will allow us to expand design services, so we can help you customize the look of your indoor and outdoor living spaces in even more creative ways.
Don’t worry, the same great custom pillows and pillow covers you’ve come to know and love through the Perfect Pillow by Julie Adams, will always be a key focus of my business.
A NEW NAME
First, the Perfect Pillow by Julie Adams is now Julie Adams Designs. For years, clients have been asking if I offer upholstery work that could further complement their custom pillow designs. And for years, I’ve been saying “yes”. With this name change, I am making custom upholstery work for small to medium size furniture pieces a key offering of my business.
With that in mind, the old name no longer felt fitting.. Julie Adams Designs gives me the freedom to grow into other areas of design while keeping my focus on custom pillows and pillow covers. It will allow me to work with you in multiple ways to discover and create even more unique looks that truly reflect your personal tastes and interests.
A NEW LOCATION
The addition of upholstery services means a need for more showroom space, so Julie Adams Designs is now located just one street over at, 623 4th Street, in Clovis, California.
My brick-and-mortar store is still in the heart of Old Town Clovis, an area in Central California that I have loved my whole life. Old Town offers a charm and shopping experience you just can’t find anywhere else. And if you are into design, you will love the old brick buildings and architecture that are always great inspirations.
The new showroom for Julie Adams Designs houses a larger inventory of textiles with custom pillows and pillow covers on display. I am also featuring four curated sitting areas, or design vignettes, based on design eras and my own personal tastes to help inspire your creativity.
For example, one vignette has a very eclectic feel to it. I took inspirational hints from the Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern design eras to create a space that immediately draws people to the area. I placed combinations of bright colors, geometric patterns and bold prints together, to highlight how you can tie design elements together in one space for an eye-pleasing appeal.
A NEW ONLINE LOOK
With all of these other big changes happening, it was also time to develop a new website and social media presence. On the website, you will find more about the design services, my story and design collaborations. The site also features a virtual shopping experience where you can browse our current collection of favorite designs..
Through our Custom Design Sessions, you can also connect with me and together we will take your design ideas from concept to creation, to achieve the look and the feel you want.
